Do you speak english?

The answer the above question is always a firm Non. Or else you will harrased for money. Even Gwen picked up this trick very quickly.

So, it's day three and we have already been to the Eifle Tower twice, Gwen loves it. Loves eating in it's shadow, loves the amazing climbing structure in the park, and swimming in the fountains. Fountains marked "swimming strictly forbidden". But since some 200 French seem to be ignoring the signs, Gwen and I did too.

Today was a low key day. We played in the Tuleries for a bit, rode the rides, played tag, rented a boat to push around on the pond, and when we got too hot, we walked up to the fountains surrounding the Pyramid at the Louvre to sit in the shade and put our feet in the water. Later we went to the Champs Elysee and shopped at the oh so very cute, and oh so very french kids clothing store Petit Bateau. Gwen got two sweaters.
So far Paris has been hot as sin, but fun and relaxing.

I keep seeing some ads that i would like to share. The first set is from McDonalds, and the catch line is "Come as you are" in the first ad, it shows King Kong's Hand reaching in for a tiny little bag of food. But the one that keeps cracking me up is Darth Vader sitting in on of those little booths where the chairs don't move focusing on his tray of food, that is hovering in front of him. Behind him, in a booth is a couple making out. haha. it's hilarious. You can see it for yourself here: http://www.fubiz.net/2009/08/13/mcdonalds-campaign/

Also, many ads here have barcodes that you can take a picture of with your cell phone and use it to claim a discount or something. Very cool.

On a final note for today, Gwen has no problems making friends. We play in a lot of parks, and Gwen just walks up to the kids and starts playing. It's cute and I love her confidence.
